After Being Passed Over For the InStyle Editor in Chief Gig, Jane Pratt Could Be Headed For The Exit, But Not Without Her Websites

Following multiple management and editorial shake ups over the summer, another one looms over the nation's biggest magazine publisher Time Inc. Just a day after getting a new CEO, there are mumblings that the company is planning to either dismantle the six months old Instyle Collection which consists of  InStyle, the two year old Mimi and Jane Pratt's xoJane/xoVain, or restructuring the group to better serve advertisers. Either way, it looks like Jane Pratt who joined the company after Time Inc acquired her two websites less than a year ago, and who was one of two people passed over for the InStyle EIC gig is having second thoughts and may be eyeing the exit, but not before buying back her websites.
With new InStyle editor in chief Laura Brown at the helm, there are questions of whether she will lead the group or if it will be dismantled. Sources told WWD that there have been talks of breaking up the group and that Jane Pratt, who sold xoJane and xoVain to Time Inc. in 2015, will be part of a shake-up. Pratt, who joined Time Inc. amid the acquisition, has been rumored to be interested in buying back the sites.
