Mr. Madrigal will serve as Silicon Valley bureau chief and the anchor of a television show to air on Fusion's network
Alexis Madrigal has been writing for TheAtlantic since 2010. Back in July he was upped to Deputy Editor with plenty of praise from Editor J.J. Gould for helping to shape Atlantic's "digital culture". Now Mr. Madrigal is taking these talents over to Fusion which seems to be hiring away all the editors from other sites. They recently brought on Dodai Stewart who was passed over for the top job at Jezebel.com.
Mr. Madrigal, 32, will start Nov. 3, he said in an interview on Tuesday, and will cover technology and broader issues “across television, live events and digital,” he said. He moved to Fusion, he said, because “it’s kind of a media-making opportunity that I just couldn’t not do. There was nowhere else I could expand my vision of the future.
