Could An Alleged Racist Segment About Asian Chicken Wings Derail Hearst Magazine's Plans to Launch 'Pioneer Woman' Magazine?

Ree Drummond, Food Network star who is in partnership with Hearst Magazines to launch "Pioneer Woman" magazine this year is in hot water over comments made during five year old show segment that featured her and her family that some viewed as racist.  Last December Hearst announced a partnership with the food star that would bring her popular Food Network show and website called  'Pioneer Woman' to print format in the form of a new magazine of the same name. But just as the magazine's debut pulls closer, a video clip of the segment is making the rounds on social media and many are claiming the the segment was racist.  Could this be something that could derail the partnership with Hearst who may not want to be associated with this drama? Last year Chip and Joanna Gaines, the stars of "Fixer Upper" landed in some hot water of their own due to the fact that they attend a Church headed by a pastor who is known for his anti gay stance. The couple also refused to say if they supported same sex marriage or not. They have a similar partnership with Meredith which publishes "The Magnolia Journal" magazine. But that dust up blew away.
