Blouin Media Corp, formerly Louise Blouin Media has been experiencing an exodus of top level individuals for a few years now. The latest departure is Scott Indrisek editor in chief of Modern Painters magazine. Indrisek was just appointed editor in chief just under a year ago. His departure follows the exit of global development head and publisher of Art+Auction magazine David Gursky who returned to the company back in 2013 after a stint at the New York Observer. Scott Indrisek was the victim of budget cuts which means more cuts are likely. Over the past few years the company has lost a number of top level individuals including Kate Shanley, the long time publisher of Art+Auction, Wendy Buckley the associate publisher of Art+Auction, Paul Fish who served as CFO, Ben Hartley who was President of the company, Kathy Murphy publisher of Modern Painters, Victoria Fuller SVP of business development and Ben Genocchio VP/head of editorial + more. When Kate Shanley and Wendy Buckley left, the women filed suit against Louise Blouin for money owed to them by the company totalling some $250,000. It is not clear if this suit was settled or still ongoing.
