Spin Media's Fourth CEO in almost 2 years Steve Blackwell has his first kill under his belt with the removal of company CRO Tom Morrissy who has only been in the job for 5 months. OK so Steve Blackwell didn't pull the trigger, but it happened on his watch. It was one of Spin Media's big backers Dave Ingraham, from M/C Partners who pulled the trigger and is probably the guy really running the place with Steve Blackwell as the face.
He was dispatched by the venture partners to sort things out as the
backers grow leery of investing any more cash into the still
unprofitable company of celebrity and music sites. Morrissy a past publisher of Entertainment Weekly and OK! could not be reached for comment. No replacement has been named.
