Meet Michael-John Pierce, The Man Who Knows Where All The Bodies Are Buried at Louise Blouin Media And Potential New Company President?

Arts and culture media mogul Louise Blouin, may be many things to many people. Some say she is out of touch and entitled. Some say she has no clue what she is doing running a media company. Some say she hates to pay her bills and believes people should accept that she wants to pay them when she wants to pay them. But to one man, Ms. Blouin is the queen, the person he is most loyal to, and the person who he has proudly served as her Chief of Staff for the past 5 years. Michael-John Pierce is and always was the most powerful man in the company, because he who controls access, holds the power.  Mr.Pierce is deeply rooted in all things related to Ms. Blouin's, business and personal life. When she was getting married to the much younger Matthew Kabatoff, who is also the director of her foundation, Mr. Pierce was the person charged with ensuring vendors got paid and was even present at her wedding along with a select few from the company including soon to be former President Ben Hartley. Mr.Pierce also ensures that the orders/directives of the boss is carried out with swift implementation. Rumor has it that he once fired a receptionist because she didn't fit in with Ms. Blouin's image for the company. Armed with degrees from Columbia University, London School of Economics and The College of William and Mary, Mr. Pierce landed at Louise Blouin Media in 2009 after a 3 year stint at SAC Capital. With his deep detailed knowledge of the inner workings at the company, he may very well get pulled into the current legal cesspool. Also with the announcement today that President Ben Hartley is leaving, Mr. Pierce could be tapped by his boss to run the company. Some would say this is unlikely because she likes having him where he is. But the truth is, he is more than qualified for the job. He knows the nuts and bolts of the company and its brands, and he is armed with the all important educational background to boot. But taking the reigns at a company currently in chaos as many companies usually are at times, Mr. Pierce would need to know how to calm the waters and retain talent. Running a company takes serious diplomacy, mediation and patience. With all that is going on at the relatively small Louise Blouin Media, we're not sure who would want to take on such a task. Then again, Mr. Pierce is Ms. Blouin's most trusted and loyal.
