Kristine Welker, who was the launch publisher will leave at the end of the year
Hearst's Dr. Oz Magazine will start the new year off with a new Publisher. Jill Seelig a former publisher and chief revenue officer of another Hearst start up O, the Oprah Magazine will take over from launch publisher Kristine Welker. Ms. Welker is said to be leaving on her own so she could invest her time volunteering with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Good for her!
As far as Ms. Seelig, she is currently the SVP of Corporate Development at Hearst Magazines where she works on new business opportunities including joint ventures, brand extensions and investments of both print and digital platforms. Before that she served as SVP, Chief Revenue Officer and Publisher of O Magazine. Before Hearst she did a tour at Conde Nast as Advertising Director of Vanity Fair and before that as Advertising Manager for Self.
