Rodale Re-Creates Editorial Director Role, Brings Back Rodale Vet Michael Lafavore to Play it

Rodale is remaking the editorial role at the company and has brought in Michael Lafavore to fill the position. Mr. Lafavore will focus on Men's Health and answer to Rodale President Scott Schulman. Mr. Lafavore who has consulted for major magazines like National Geographic, National Geographic Traveler, Popular Mechanics and ELLE, roamed the Rodale halls some 15 years ago, so his appointment is a welcome back.

“I’ve been gone for 15 years,” says Lafavore. “The re-entry into the company and starting with Men’s Health is the most comfortable for me. Also, I built the magazine to 1.5 million circulation. I learned a lot of lessons, mainly through trail and error, and I’m looking forward to sharing those lessons with the folks here. For me, it’s a logical re-entry back into Rodale.”
