Conde Nast Bringing Back Defector Kim Kelleher as Wired Publisher

Conde Nast decided to go outside to fill the open publisher spot at Wired. The company plans to bring on Kim Kelleher who defected to rival Time Inc back in 2010. Kelleher's return officially kills rumors that the gig was going to insider Drew Schutte.
At Wired, she replaces Howard Mittman, who was made publisher of GQ when predecessor Chris Mitchell was tapped to be Vanity Fair’s publisher. Kelleher has a big challenge as Wired’s ad pages were down more than 24.5 percent through September to 425 pages. She also has to fill the top two ad sales jobs as its associate publisher Keith Grossman already jumped to Bloomberg and its ad director is following Mittman to GQ.
