The designer was probably paid by Rupert Murdoch's goons

The poor bastards at The Sydney Morning Herald were all excited to see their new Newsroom. But what they weren't expecting was Rupert Murdoch staring them down. Apparently, THE designer hired to spruce up the paper's newsroom got the wacky idea to carve Rupert Murdoch's face in the glass pillars, totally unaware that Rupert Murdoch is their biggest rival. Now something like this would be more appropriate for the Wall Street Journal newsroom don't you think. Rupe's goons sooo! paid the designer to do that. Its some kind of intimidation tactic.

At first no one could put a name to the face, until someone realized it was arch-rival Murdoch, his face resting on his hand and smiling. It seems the interior designer, looking for a news image for the pillars, chose a photo of Murdoch to etch on the pillars not realizing he was the Herald's nemesis.A spokesman for the Herald's owner, Fairfax, said the corporate mistake was an unfortunate but amusing design error.
