Time Inc Is Diving Into The Influencer Marketing Business Big League

As it is still in the middle of reviewing bids from possible suitors, The nearly $2 billion Time Inc machine is chugging along as usual. The company's latest effort will be in the influencer marketing business. The company is launching its own influencer marketing network powered by Speakr a platform that helps publishers create their own influencer network.
The influencers aren’t actual Time Inc. editors or reporters, but the company said they’ve been vetted by the editorial team — the initial lineup includes My Nguyen of My Healthy Dish and Jacey Duprie of Damsel in Dior. So for example, the influencers could work with the Time Inc. team to create native ads for Time Inc. properties, then promote the message through their own sites and social media accounts.
