Talk about surprise collaborations. Vice Media and Vogue are teaming up on a new editorial project that will run for 100 days tentatively titled Project Vs . The project will include a new website and focused on issues impacting society today with content produced by both Vice and Vogue editors. The project will launch in 2018. This project announcement comes after Vice installed former Vogue arts editor Mark Guiducci as editor in chief of Garage magazine a fashion and art publication. Vice has been getting more serious about its fashion business recently installing Tammy Smulders as president of its fashion group which includes both Garage and i-D magazine.
Said Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour:
“Vogue and Vice may appear to some to see the world through different lenses. But, in my view, both are fearless and breathtaking, with unquenchable curiosity and vigor. This collaboration will benefit from two talented editorial teams working together to produce relevant and exciting stories about the way we live now.”
