Another deal may have slipped through Meredith’s fingers this week but its business as usual at the Iowa based media giant. The company announced this morning that it is launching a new health and wellness vertical called Strive which will be distributed across the social platforms of five Meredith titles. Content from Strive will be distributed via the social channels for Martha Stewart, Shape, Better Homes & Gardens, Parents and Eating Well. The new vertical has a dedicated team of 10 including editor in chief of Strive Jennifer Braunschweiger.
Said Marc Rothschild, SVP of Meredith:
We wanted to specifically address the health and wellness questions we saw consumers seeking. We already have a very large audience interested in the topic. Why should we feel like we have to carry them somewhere else to deliver what they’re seeking?”
