Conde Nast’s latest Chief Business Officer Alison Moore is joining the company on October 23 replacing Kim Kelleher to oversee business ops for Glamour, Allure and Brides. She joins from Soundcloud where she served as chief revenue officer. She also has tours at media giant NBC-Universal and premium cable network HBO, a division of Time Warner under her belt. She will report up to Conde Nast’s de facto number two, president of revenue and chief business officer Jim Norton.
Said Mr. Norton:
“Alison has spent the majority of her career on the cutting edge of the media business — from leading digital transformations at traditional companies to driving revenue for digital pure plays.”
She is joining Conde Nast as the company is prepping for another restructuring round that will likely lead to more layoffs, cuts in publishing frequency for some brands among other possibilities. She also arrives on the heels of some high profile editorial departures at Vanity Fair, Glamour and Brides which has only added to the unease at the company that some say came about with the arrival of Jim Norton who has been the one trimming the fat at the company.
