Just three days after announcing that it was abandoning its print efforts to focus on Nylon.com and other digital offerings, Nylon Media has installed a new President to lead the charge forward. According to WWD Nylon Media has brought on former Snapchat business development lead Evan Luzzatto to be its new president. With Nylon’s new laser focus on all things digital/social Mr. Luzzatto was their pick especially with stints at Instagram and Facebook under his belt. But it wasn’t just his resume that got him in the door. In fact he has always been inside Nylon. See Evan Luzzatto’s father Mark Luzzatto is Nylon’s chairman and he (Evan) has been a board member for 5 months now so the company didn’t have to look far, if at all for its new day to day leader. Naturally, Mark Luzzatto is thrilled to install his son as Nylon’s new leader.
“We are thrilled to have been able to recruit Evan to lead the bright digital future at Nylon. We have invested heavily in building our brand, social reach and custom content offerings, and Evan is the right leader at the right time to build one of the world’s leading digital companies serving the Millennial and Gen Z audiences.”
Nylon Media’s last CEO was Paul Greenberg who quietly exited the company back in January of 2016. Since his departure Mark Luzzatto has pretty much been leading the day to day charge at the company. The younger Luzzatto will now take the day to day lead overseeing everything from digital, social, content, creative studio, influencer and conference businesses.
