King of launches Hearst Magazine’s latest offering “The Pioneer Woman” a magazine created around food network personality Ree Drummond is only on its first issue but demand for the publication is ticking upwards. So much so that Hearst will up the total distribution for the second issue due in September to 500K and move the magazine outside of the walls of Wallmart. The publication seems to be going well so far for Hearst. As far as Hearst’s other recently launched branded magazine Airbnb, there is no word yet on how that title is being received.
After a successful opening issue — Hearst printed another 100,000 copies after the first 150,000 sold out — The Pioneer Woman Magazine will also expand its footprint to include newsstand space at Barnes & Noble, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target, Walgreens and CVS in addition to Walmart.
