Howard Mittman who’s departure was announced just last week by Conde Nast business Chief Jim Norton is joining TimeWarner’s Bleacher Report as the website’s Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer. Mr. Mittman was the Chief Business Officer for Conde Nast’s men’s group which included GQ, Ars Technica, Backchannel, Golf World, GQStyle, Wired, Pitchfork, and Golf Digest. Mr. Mittman’s departure from Conde Nast comes as alleged frustration and unease at Conde Nast continues to grow with Jim Norton in the middle of it all. However like we said before there is no indication that Mr. Mittman’s departure had anything to do with those alleged situations.
Said Mittman on joining Bleacher Report:
Sports is such a big part of our culture today, on a global scale. Bleacher Report is at the center of that phenomenon, driving the conversation and bringing to its audiences some of the most engaging stories and commentaries you just don’t see anywhere else. That is such a compelling opportunity to be able to step into, and I look forward to working with the team to continue building the brand and with our marketing partners to deliver breakthrough branded experiences that truly resonate.
