Following the announcement over a week ago that Time Inc was dismissing 300 staffers to help it recognize some $100 million in savings, comes more details about the shake up at its UK operations which is said to be taking the brunt of the hit. Time Ink UK formerly known as IPC Media is set to layoff about 111 editorial staffers across its titles and create a centralized editorial hub. The UK magazines that are expected to feel most of the heat includes Woman & Home, Marie Claire and Look.
Said a Time Inc UK rep:
We’re in the process of transforming our editorial model to give us the best opportunity to leverage our heritage, scale and audience to deliver more value to our customers. This involves our editorial teams being restructured so that we can create our quality content more efficiently while still retaining the strengths of our brands.
