Time Inc’s latest digital offering is Time Health a one stop destination for health and wellness content across properties like Time, Health, Fortune, Cooking Light and Real Simple. The new launch wouldn’t be up to today’s standards without the inclusion of video which Time Health will not be be short on. In addition to this new digital destination, later on this year Time Inc will be producing free health specific print magazines to be distributed in doctors offices across the country. Time Inc is hoping the new online hub and print publications will lead to new ad opportunities. This launch comes as sale/merger talks between Time Inc and potential suitors including Meredith Corp and a private investment group lead by billionaire Edgar Bronfman enter advanced stages. At a recent event, Time Inc CEO Rich Battista wouldn’t comment on directly the negotiations only saying that he wasn’t shocked that people are interested in Time Inc.
Said Chief Content Officer Alan Murray:
“Time Inc. is a trusted voice of the human story, and there is no human experience more personal than your health and the health of those you care about. Time Health will allow us to leverage the full scale of Time Inc. to provide authoritative coverage of this critical area to all our audiences.”
