Things may have been quiet on the Time Inc sale front, but don't be fooled, the company is still very much for sale. This week Time In is expected to grant access to potential suitors to view its books and data to help them (the suitors) decide whether or not they want to own America's biggest publisher and brands like Time, People, Sports Illustrated and many many others. Some of those being given access to Time Inc's financial information includes Meredith Corp, which is the favorite to win. However, many believe Meredith is only really interested in the brands that can boost its already huge female audience. If Meredith does end up with Time Inc, it is likely that they will pull out the titles that fit within the Meredith brand and try to unload the rest possibly to the runner ups which according to rumors may include companies like Hearst, American Media Inc (the long shot) and maybe the Edgar Bronfman lead private investor group again. There has been no definite report about any other suitors. Everything known about this process keeps going back to Meredith.
