The New Yorker Names Replacement For The Guy Who Left to Replace Scott Dadich at Wired

David Remnick the editor in chief of The New Yorker magazine has named a new digital editor for NewYorker.com. Michael Luo will replace Nicholas Thompson who left last month to replace Scott Dadich as editor in chief at Wired Magazine. This is a promotion for Mr. Luo who most recently served as investigations editor for The New Yorker.

In an email to staff, David Remnick said:

“Everyone involved with the extraordinary evolution of newyorker.com should be feeling a great sense of pride. Now that Nick Thompson has gone off to edit Wired, Michael Luo will be the editor of the site. Together with Vera Titunik and so many other remarkable talents that we’ve been fortunate enough to attract, Mike will help the site and our digital evolution accelerate and, at the same time, maintain the standards of accuracy, fairness, and rigor that have made newyorker.com what it is.”
