Wired's New Editor In Chief Nicholas Thompson Hires Editor for Wired.com Who is Fun to Talk to And Does Her Job

Nicholas Thompson who just took over from former Wired EIC Scott Dadich who moved on to run his own creative agency, is making his mark at the publication starting with his first hire Andrea Valdez who is joining the team as editor of Wired.com. She joins from Texas Monthly where she was the editor for that publication's website.  Mr. Nicholas' reason for hiring her is that fact that she does her job as an editor, you know like fact checking, editing, assigning work etc. Oh and apparently she is super fun to talk to. She starts at Wired on March 13. She will play a role in helping Mr. Thompson expand Wired's digital and video foot print across multiple platforms.
