Hearst Dives Deeper Into Print With Acquisition of The Pioneer Group

Hearst is a huge producer of print products like magazines and newspapers. Now the company just got even bigger with its acquisition of The Pioneer Group giving Hearst a bigger foot print in Michigan thanks to Pioneer's network of local newspapers and their accompanying websites. Though no financial terms were disclosed, Hearst is psyched about the buy indicating it is worth every penny they spent.

“We are proud to follow four generations of Batdorff family leadership in these central Michigan communities,” Hearst Newspapers president Mark Aldam said. “This addition is an essential part of our desire to further serve readers in Michigan.”
