Vicenews.com is doing the one column single feed thing with its new design. Vice revamped the site ahead of its new ‘Vice News Tonight’ program on HBO which takes off tonight.
The major change to Vice’s news site is that there is only a single column on the site, displaying Vice videos and stories in what is similar to a Facebook or Twitter feed. The stories are accompanied with gifs, illustrations or images. Most of the video content on the new site stands alone, instead of accompanying an article. Clicking on videos or expanding articles to read doesn’t navigate you out of the stream, so readers can keep scrolling to explore other videos and articles that interest them.
