Time Inc has created a new role at the company and is bringing in Time Inc Vet Judith Hammerman to fill it. Under the title of VP of Global Data Commercialization Ms. Hammerman will work to monetize commercial data and provide solutions for advertisers. Ms. Hammerman is no stranger to Time Inc or its brands. She previously worked in sales for several years at the company. However, a lot has changed since she worked at the company. For one, it is no longer located in the Time and Life building and is no longer a division of media giant TimeWarner. Time Inc now has board of directors and shareholders which will no doubt put some pressure on Ms. Hammerman to deliver, deliver, deliver. Also, the company is now on its second CEO since being spun off as an independent company and is focused on establishing itself as a digital media company that happens to also produce print magazines. When she worked at the company, Ann Moore was CEO, during which an aggressive digital strategy was not at the top of the to do list.
In this new cross-functional role,
Hammerman will bring together Time Inc.’s brands and businesses to drive
the monetization of commercial data and provide advertisers with
solutions across platforms. She was most recently Vice President,
National Sales of Connexity.
