Ousted Maxim Editor in Chief Kate Lanphear is Helping Google to Build Fashion Week Search Product

kate Lanphear who tried to save Maxim magazine but was ousted when owner Sardar Biglari decided he wanted to be Editor in Chief, is now working at Google where she is helping the tech/search giant to build a search and buy now product for Fashion Week.
Google’s new take on fashion week means searchable highlights provided by designers and shopping directly from the runway. And to act as a consultant to the whole thing, Google has tapped Kate Lanphear, the former editor in chief of Maxim, in the creation of this new New York Fashion Week-centric search product.
