Athlon Media Wins The Defunct Harris Publications

ATHLON WILL NOW DECIDE WHICH PUBLICATIONS WILL DIE AND WHICH PUBLICATIONS WILL LIVE ON

A judge has given Athlon Media the green light to takeover Harris Publications which folded 2 month ago. The judge gave Athlon the nod because its offer will pay off/down Harris' $4 million RR Donnelley balance and leave more funds on the table for creditors. Athlon also agreed to take on subscription liabilities. Now that Athlon got what it wanted, the real work begins. Athlon will now decide which of the 74 publications will go on or be shuttered and/or sold based on what fits with the needs of their current customers.
