Off Beat: D.O.A

Published: Tuesday, February 06, 2007

  • An Off Beat post is something we go through sporadically where we come across something that we have to comment on because of the level of stupidity or we just feel like sharing our thoughts about it. It’s usually never associated with what we usually cover but never the less it has some tie in with the media industry.

Just a quick word in. Rupert Murdoch can indirectly endorse his choice for the Rupublican nomination for President, but no matter what anyone says, this morning's New York Post cover shot is exactly why Rudolph Guiliani will never be President. Our friends in our heads at Gawker also pointed out some things we're trying so hard not to picture in our minds.

The Post ruined all our breakfasts with their cover this morning (seriously: "Judi gushes as Rudi rushes in"?? Ewwwww!!!) Because we're very considerate, we waited until almost lunchtime to bring you our analysis of the article inside, which features excerpts from the Judi Guiliani interview that will appear in March's Harper's Bazaar, as well as the scintillating non-news that Rudy has filed some important papers that bring him one step closer to officially declaring his presidential candidacy.
