Primedia unloads some of its boring titles
Published: Thursday, December 07, 2006
Primedia, one of the magazine publishing joints that lacks cool has unloaded its hunting, fishing and shooting magazines for $170 million in cash. Whoa! thats enough to revamp some websites and more. The 17 magazines purchased by private-equity firm InterMedia Partners LP include Guns & Ammo, Fly Fisherman and Game & Fish. The sale also includes events, websites, and TV and radio programming related to the titles. So what does InterMedia plan to do with these titles? Probably attempt to fluff them up and then talk another private equity firm into taking it off their hands. Primedia Offloads Guns & Ammo, Fly Fisherman, Others [MBP] Labels: Primedia |
