Morning Wire: The new CW Network is already getting in the swing of the things

Published: Thursday, September 21, 2006

Not even a week on the air and already Les Moonves and Barry M. Meyer's new CW Network is being sued for $40 Million over the coming premier of a series called "The Game".

The suit, filed September 14 in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, claims Robinson gave a manuscript of the novel to "Game" executive producer Mara Brock Akil in 2001, when she interviewed for a writers assistant post at Kelsey Grammer's Grammnet Prods. Akil and Grammnet are named as defendants in the suit, along with CW and its owners, CBS and Warner Bros.

Lets see how this one hammers out.
