Morning Wire: Dauman, best and worst dressed and Rupe ups his share

Published: Wednesday, September 27, 2006

And now the morning's worthy media business news:

New Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman better deliver or else. No Sumner Redstone didn't say that but we know he is thinking it. Mr. Dauman got his chance to lay out his vision and plans for the company at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia XV Conference. He sounds like he knows what he is talking about but actions speak louder than words. [Fool] Newscorp took a bigger chunk of satellite provider BSKYB. They now rule 39%. [Reuters] Newsweek is firing back at all the criticism over it's cover story on fabled magazine photographer Annie Leibovitz. But seriously though why? It sucked!! [NYP] Did anyone notice that we published a list of the best and worst dressed media moguls?? [MWD]
