Fresh Off The Wires: NBC Launches "NBBC"

Published: Tuesday, September 12, 2006

Not willing or even able to shell out the cash that Youtube.com would demand to sell out, NBC Universal has taken the stupid route and will directly compete with he powerful video site. NBC announced today that it has launched National Broadband Company (NBBC).

The venture, which was originally announced in April, will also include video clips from third parties such as College Sports TV, The History Channel and others.Based loosely on the model of the hugely popular YouTube site, members of the venture will be able to add video to the system and also select which clips to play on their own site.

We hope they are not too excited about this new venture. Come on we already have Youtube and it rocks!
