And now the biggest circulation losers according to BPA

Published: Friday, August 18, 2006

It's a tough time for some mags trying to remain relevant. Wine Enthusiast, Meredith Corp.'s American Baby and Viacom's Nickelodeon are three titles slowly on their way to being internet only publications.

Wine Enthusiast's total paid circ declined 21.6 percent to 68,546. Subscriptions, which account for most of the title's circ, plummeted 30 percent versus last year, as the sub price was hiked to $28.20 from $23.78.

American Baby's paid circ declined 21.5 percent to 89,313, although overall circ, encompassing paid and nonpaid, was steady at 2 million copies. Nickelodeon's paid circ dropped 13.1 percent to 934,524.
