Despite almost entirely untrammeled career advancement, she has never received the respect accorded Whitney or Vogue's Anna Wintour, both of whom she describes, genuflecting, as "legendary." "Seeking a 'simpler,' 'more balanced' life seems like a saner option," Fuller, the main breadwinner for her husband and their brood of four (two of whom have survived life-threatening illnesses), writes. "But what if you love your career? . . . What about the vast majority of women ? myself included ? who cannot afford to drop out and just raise the kids?" Don't we just love to hate Bonnie?
