Hartle Media into Spin-ing Blender

What's next Vibe? Music monthly Spin is set to be acquired by publisher Tom Hartle on Tuesday, according to sources familiar with the situation. Once the deal closes, Hartle has plans to replace top personnel at the magazine with the launch team behind Dennis Publication's Blender. As first reported in WWD last week, Hartle tapped former Blender editor Andy Pemberton to replace current editor in chief Sia Michel, and former Blender publisher Malcolm Campbell to replace Spin publisher Jacob Hill. Campbell, most recently group publisher at Vice, served as publisher of Spin for 11 years before joining Blender. [Mediaweek]
